AHRC Nassau is launching a Young Professionals Advisory Board.

AHRC Nassau supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families across Nassau County. Our board sets the direction for that work, and we want the next generation of leaders to help shape it.
As a member of this non-voting advisory board, you will:

• Attend AHRC Nassau Board meetings as an invited observer and share your perspective
• Gain access to AHRC Nassau leadership and experts in the field
• Be paired with a current board member as a mentor
• Learn how nonprofit governance works, from fiduciary duties to strategic planning
• Connect with other young professionals at events, mixers, and member activities
• Build a path toward full board membership through our nominating committee process
