AHRC Nassau families and hundreds in the Glen Cove community came together for the 36th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Observance March on Jan. 20. We were proud to honor Dr. King’s legacy, his dream and the generations he’s inspired (and will inspire) to create opportunities for greater equality and empathy.
AHRC Nassau families and friends began their tribute at the First Baptist Church and ended at Robert M. Finley Middle School for a celebratory program. In attendance was Congressman Tom Suozzi, Mayor of Glen Cove Tim Tenke, State Senator Jim Gaughran, and AHRC Nassau Executive Director Stanfort Perry.
For the event, AHRC Nassau donated floral displays and cookies, created by people supported by AHRC Nassau’s Employment Services division. AHRC Nassau volunteers were present to share the refreshments with attendees.
