NYS CoP on DEI in Developmental Disabilities Virtual Info Session #2
The second information sessions on participating and establishing NYS Community of Practice (CoP) on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Developmental Disabilities will be held virtually on June 14th from 1-2 PM with an additional session held on June 24th.
These sessions are designed to engage stakeholders in creating regional teams focused on developing and implementing DEI strategies. The CoP seeks to involve IDD provider agencies, self-advocates, and Care Coordination Organizations (CCOs), fostering a comprehensive approach to DEI in the field. By participating, stakeholders will engage in workshops and webinars led by experts, develop a toolkit of DEI resources, and work towards enhancing organizational capacity for inclusive practices. This initiative aims to promote a culture of dignity, respect, and equity across organizations in New York State. The sessions will be hosted by Sarah Gonzalez Noveiri, Ph.D., and Bridget Cariello, who will provide details on how to apply for one of the five regional teams forming across NY State.
