AHRC Nassau recently celebrated team members’ milestone years of service during employee recognition events. The April 29 event recognized employees with 10 and 15 years with the agency while the May 5 event honored those with 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years. 

“Thank you for your unwavering loyalty, and your tireless pursuit of our mission,” Stanfort Perry, CEO, said. “Because of your hard work, because of your passion, our family of organizations stand as a leader in delivering high-quality supports and services. We are grateful for each day, each year, and every contribution you have made.” 

These milestone events are special celebrations honoring employees who have dedicated a significant portion of their career to AHRC Nassau.  

Among the many award recipients was David Haas, Ground Maintenance Worker, who secured his position through Supported Employment Services (SEMP). David’s employment success extends far beyond his milestone achievement. It’s been integral in helping him build independence.  

His career has helped David move into his own home, take charge of his income, and meet his friends and family for dinner and activities. David’s experience reflects the impact meaningful employment and strong supports can have in helping people with disabilities to thrive while contributing to their communities.
