Community Classes and events at the Thomas S. Gulotta Wheatley Farms and Arts Center provide welcoming, hands-on opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to learn, create, and connect. Through a variety of art, agriculture, and wellness-focused programs, participants gain new skills, express themselves creatively, and build confidence in a supportive environment.

Held on the farm and within the arts center, these classes foster community, encourage creativity, and support personal growth—creating a strong sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Most classes are free, unless otherwise indicated below.  Pre-registration is required below↓ 

Wheatley Farms & Arts Center Update
Due to ongoing construction, all Wheatley Farms & Arts Center workshops and classes are temporarily on hold and will resume in August. The full schedule will be announced soon.

Open Farm Hours are from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Stroll the farm independently and enjoy the beautiful scenery and animals. Please check in before entering the farm grounds. Sign in at the front entrance and pick up a farm activity sheet.

Know Your Natives – Weds., June 24
1:00pm-1:30pm
Come visit our newly installed ReWILD Native Garden. Learn all about the importance of native plants, why we plant them, and what conditions they thrive in. Sip on some freshly infused herb water. Hosted by the men and women of Wheatley Farms Day Program.  

Buzz and Bloom – Sat., June 27
11:00 am – 2:00 pm $10 fee per person
Come farm experience celebrating the plants and pollinators that keep our ecosystem thriving. Activities may include garden tours, hands-on workshops, and learning opportunities centered on bees, flowers, and sustainable growing.

Rewild Garden Care – Sun., June 28
10:00am-11:00am
Celebrate Pollinator Week with a visit to our native gardens. Learn about the importance of native plants and the pollinators that depend on them. Observe pollinators in action while helping care for the gardens through weeding and pollinator documenting. 

Bug Safari (Children’s program – recommended ages 5-8) – Sun., June 28
11:30am-12:30pm
Join us for a fun bug adventure at Wheatley Farms! Explore the gardens with magnifying glasses as we search for butterflies, bees, and other fascinating pollinators while discovering the different colors, shapes, and patterns found in nature.
