On September 29, the AHRC Nassau community gathered at the Brookville Mansion ballroom to recognize and honor the Employees of the Quarter. Honorees are nominated by their peers for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to supporting the agency’s mission. These employees serve in a variety of roles including direct support and management in residential and day services, clinical and employment services, and administration—each contributing in their own way to drive our mission forward.

Jonaah Larosiliere

Jonaah is a House Manager known for being present, caring, and creative in creating opportunities for people supported to explore their interests. He’s a trusted partner to families and a dependable team member. 

Andrez Cruz Martinez

Andrez is a member of the commercial cleaning team. He was recognized for his meticulous work and tremendous attention to detail. He takes pride in his work and is dedicated to doing an excellent job. He is also  a supportive coworker, always willing to help and lend a hand. 

Michelle Meyer

Michelle is a Direct Support Professional in Day Services. She is known for her incredible kindness and patience. She is trusted by families for being responsive and reliable, giving them confidence  that their loved ones are cared for. 

Paul Njuguna

Paul is an LPN in Day Services, where he supports people with their medical/health needs.  He’s known as a pillar of calm. He is dependable, resourceful, and a source of comfort for the people in his care.   

Abigail Rodriguez

Abigail supports people in Pre-vocational Services. She was honored by her team members for being proactive and resourceful. She’s a supportive teammate who has earned the trust and confidence of her peers and the people she supports. 

Aashka Shah

Aashka is a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist and has been with AHRC Nassau since 2024. She approaches every challenge with dedication and professionalism. She’s valued by her coworkers for being dependable and a true team player. 

Annmarie Smith

Annmarie is the Assistant Manager in Residential Services who works closely with her team to ensure that people supported are empowered to make their own choices and live their best lives. She creates opportunities for enjoyment and connection for people supported, and she’s valued by family members for her compassionate nature.  

Sara Tucci

Sara is a Learning and Professional Development Administrator. She was recognized for her  hard work, her willingness to go above and beyond, and being an exceptional colleague. She is commended for being bright, insightful, and a remarkable problem solver. 

Claudia Vaz

Claudia is a House Manager in Residential Services. She was recognized for her extraordinary compassion, leadership skills, and caring nature. She cultivates an environment where the people who live in the home feel safe, supported, and heard. 

Bruce Watrous

Bruce has been a Direct Support Professional with AHRC Nassau for a decade, supporting people in Day Services. He is recognized as a trusted, compassionate, and caring professional. He is known for his ability to handle challenging situations while building strong connections with the people he supports, families, and coworkers.
